At Synergy NeuroPsychiatry, we help patients in the Kalamazoo area find thoughtful, physician-led care when mental health symptoms need a more complete approach. Led by Mauli Verma, MD, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist, our practice brings together psychiatric care and outpatient interventional treatment options for depression, OCD, anxiety, treatment-resistant symptoms, and related mental health concerns.
At Synergy NeuroPsychiatry, we take time to understand what each patient has already tried, what symptoms are affecting daily life, and what kind of support may be appropriate next.
Our practice in the Greater Kalamazoo area brings together psychiatric expertise, medication management, and outpatient interventional options for patients who may need a more complete approach to care. When helpful, we also coordinate with other clinicians involved in a patient’s care, including primary care providers, therapists, neurologists, and other members of their care team.
Care here is thoughtful, clinical, and individualized. We are here to help patients and families explore options with clarity, not pressure.

Evaluation and medication support for a range of psychiatric needs.

A noninvasive treatment option offered as part of Synergy’s interventional psychiatry services.

A supervised esketamine nasal spray treatment for specific depressive indications.

Pharmacogenomic testing used to support medication-related decision-making.
For patients who need more than a traditional medication-management approach, Synergy NeuroPsychiatry offers advanced outpatient treatment options in a physician-led setting.
One of those options is BrainsWay Deep TMS Therapy, a noninvasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain. Our practice has a particular focus on OCD, along with care for patients navigating depression and treatment-resistant symptoms.
Deep TMS Therapy is provided in an outpatient setting, does not require anesthesia, and patients are able to drive themselves to and from the clinic. We help patients understand whether this type of treatment may be appropriate as part of a broader psychiatric care plan.
